Why I recommend that you use a Greens drink daily

What are greens drinks?

Greens drinks are organic vegetables and fruits that have been compacted and made into a powdered form. Using a greens drink is the perfect way to make sure you are receiving all of the nutrients you need for daily function. If you carry on reading you'll find it's got other uses too.

How often do you eat more than 5 vegetables per day? In the case of many people, I often see food diaries with zero vegetable across a whole week.

Why are vegetables so important?

You really will find it very hard to find a reason why you should not eat more vegetables than you are currently. People eat protein and starchy carbohydrates in way higher proportion to fruits and vegetables, this increase your acidic load. When you eat more vegetables you can prevent this and support a more alkaline environment in your body which helps prevent bone and muscle loss.

Deficiencies in vitamins and minerals found in vegetables and fruits can lead to many symptoms such as acne, dry skin, dry mouth, puffy skin, tingling hands/feet, brittle/thin nails and many more. It’s no coincidence that many of the symptoms above decrease or disappear when vegetables and fruits and reintroduced to the diet in the right amount.

Minerals serve as building blocks for our bodily structures; they form the foundation of our teeth and bones and help construct our cells and enzymes.

Guidelines

Don’t rely on greens drinks as your only supply of vegetables and fruits, supplements must be part of a balanced diet and not a replacement.

If your intake of vegetables and fruit is below 5 per day, use 2 greens drinks per day.

Using your greens drink can make a fantastic snack in the middle of the day if you combine it with 1 or 2 scoops of whey protein.
