4 stress busters you can do in 10 minutes

The frantic hustle of daily activity prevent many of us from ever having a few quite moment’s of peace to ourselves.

Now more than ever, this is exactly what you need to help reduce any stress and anxiety you may be feeling.

Here are some quick 10 minute stress busters that you can incorporate into your day.

1.  Do a 10 minute Vinyasa flow yoga practice

There are many short yoga practices available online via YouTube, which can help you relax in the comfort of your own home.


Vinyasa is known for it's smooth flowing poses, which help you to focus the mind and find peace through movement. Take 10 minutes out to find your inner zen. Namaste!

2. Legs up against the wall pose

Lie on the floor on a mat and position yourself so that your legs are flush against the wall (vertically).


This restorative position, combined with controlled breathing, leads to a slowing down within your body. This exhibits itself in a lowered heart rate which promotes relaxation and helps reduce anxiety, stress and insomnia.

3. Tune in to a meditation podcast

You can find a range of short meditation podcasts online, which will help promote deep mindful breathing. Meditation can be a great way to start or end your day with.


Meditation is a simple technique that, if practiced for as few as 10 minutes each day, can help you control stress, reduce anxiety and achieve a greater capacity for relaxation.

4. Listen to some mood boosting music

Switch off from the world, put your headphones in and let your favourite music take you away to another place.


Listening to music can have a relaxing effect on our minds and bodies, slowing the pulse and heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and decreasing the levels of stress hormones. Choose your favourite mood boosting tunes and take 10 minutes to chill out.
